We can Reach Out to Children in Need because of the Generosity of Individuals and Businesses in our Community.
The Fredericksburg Area Service League depends on fundraising to support our community outreach. Monies raised through the League’s fundraisers go directly to the service programs and financial grants we sponsor. The day-to-day operating and administrative expenses are funded trough dues collected from League members.
For fiscal year 2009-20010, the Fredericksburg Area Service League’s fundraisers include:
Junior Cotillion, a 6-week program which offers middle-school children instruction in social etiquette and basic dance steps;
Merry Market: a boutique craft show, a fun and unique shopping event taking place at UMW's Jepson Alumni Center November 2010. We will have a fabulous kick-off shopping event, the Jingle Bell Cocktail on Friday evening of Merry Market. For more info: merrymarketshow@gmail.com
Member-Guest Auction, where competition gets fierce for terrific art, travel packages, home and entertainment items and services.
Memorial Park Commemorative Brick Walkway, an ongoing program where community individuals and businesses may purchase personalized bricks for the walkway to the Memorial Park (formerly Kenmore Park) playground. Check back to inquire when our next round of BRICKS will be ordered.
